The Capital Subsidy for Acquisition of Plants and Machinery (CSAPM) Scheme for manufacturing Jute Diversified Products (JDPs) is implemented by the National Jute Board (NJB). Objectives The core objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries for purchasing machinery specifically designed for manufacturing Jute Diversified Products (JDPs). This aims to promote modernization, technology upgradation, and expansion of Jute mills and MSME JDP units. Benefits The scheme offers a capital subsidy of 30% of the cost of eligible JDP manufacturing machinery. The maximum financial assistance provided to a single beneficiary unit throughout the scheme's tenure is capped at Rs. 1.5 Crore. Eligibility Criteria To avail the scheme benefits, JDP manufacturing units need to intimate the NJB online, indicating their intent to upgrade or modernize by acquiring eligible machinery. The machinery procured must be linked to bank credit/loans from a scheduled bank, with the bank loan amounting to at least 10% of the total machinery cost. Specific financial and technical criteria are also prescribed for machinery manufacturers to be eligible.
